Okay, I admit it - I used to be guitar wussy...

There - I told you - Don't rub it in - You don't know how much it sucks to even think about it now...

When I first started learning guitar I just wanted to play all the cool stuff - to heck with the theory and learning boring scales...

I heard about them but I didn't think they were any use to me...

That was until I got humiliated by my best friends little sister - learn guitar scales

The thing is even after I learned them I never practiced them.

Scale diagrams might as well have been written in Japanese...

I didn't want to spend my precious practice time learning dull note combinations and boring guitar scales...

What I didn't realize at the time is that I was falling into the same trap that 90% of all new guitarists make when they first start learning guitar.
